Just to inform you about
the band DC Fontana from the
UK Midlands who have recently
bounced back from an appalling 12
months worth of woe and bad
luck (including the theft of £40,000 worth of
their gear and the loss of
their lead singer) with a sizzling and brand new
line up that features one of
THE real finds of the new century.
Twenty-one year old Black
Country vocal sensation NICCI HALL is the new soulful voice
behind this well-known mod-influenced soul outfit and together
with new keyboard/piano man Brian Dean, the new line-up is
clearly the band's best yet.
The new line up is forging a
great sound with a show that mixes their own compositions with
storming, classic northern and beat smasheroos like, for

The Auger/Driscoll vibe certainly permeates
the band and Nicci's voice sometimes seems to take on the
idiosyncratic and soul-doused jazz vocal of Driscoll like some
kind of osmosis from a time long ago but never forgotten and
it is the sprinkling of emotional magic that helps to create a
whirlwind sound that kind of rides the cusp between the
northern/scooterist & mod scenes of today.
The band, which is also hoping to add a horn section
